Beautiful Sunday today, great skies and a great place to be shooting at, Chinese Garden. This is dedicated to the people at Chinese Garden who saw me and must be thinking why is this crazy chinese guy photographer taking photos while turning around his tripod in circles and even tilted his camera to take photo of the floor and sky, i mean, i know the sky is blue and nice but the floor?! haha

Enjoy.

Fuk Tai Chi Museum Masked

etegration | March 25, 2007 | 12:47 am

output_mask_tiny.jpg

I actually took another set of the Fuk Tai Chi Museum as I noticed that when it came to the shot with PWC building etc in view, the shots will of course, be overexposed and so the idea is to merge and use this other sets of photos that has the same ISO, Aperture but different Shutter speed. This set is shot at 1/20 secs merged with the 0.3 secs shots thus the inside of the Museum looks clear (0.3) and so does the outside (1/20) with the outside buildings and details of the Museum’s roof viewable. The above is the first try. It’s done using Masking in Photoshop CS2.

Raffles Place

Nope, I did not change a camera (yet!), this is taken in Tungsten White Balance, makes the places look “cooler”. Taken yesterday but only managed to have time to put it together and the nadir is really hard for this one.

Park in Jurong West

etegration | | 9:58 pm

output_tiny3.jpg

On my way back after Vivocity, passed this park, had my stuffs so why not. I truely know now that even with a perfect Equirectangular image, exporting using Pano2QTVR can still give tons of error with grey images or odd colored tiles.

yep, 3 Pano attempts and all doing 360 doesn’t seem to be working fine. More tweaking later but here’s a 180 pano, eh… I mean 3 x 180 panos.

Home 360 4th attempt

etegration | March 20, 2007 | 9:09 pm

output4th_tiny.jpg

i think i got it right at last. +40 degrees up and -30 degrees below shots with 30 degrees per row of shots giving me altogether 24 photos plus 1 x zenith and 1 x nadir, total 26 shots and i got this! Quite many photos to take to have this but trying with 8 shots which is equvilent to 45 degrees per shot for 2 rows (+45 and -30) totally 14 (6 x 2 + 1 zenith and 1 nadir) leaves me with a lot of work in PTGui later setting control points after control points…

Office 360

etegration | March 19, 2007 | 8:50 pm

output_tiny2.jpg

Office 360. Still figuring out the nadir image, removal of the tripod from the image and the exact degrees of the top zenith image. Anyway, meantime, i am enjoying this already…

Not full screen mastered yet since it defeat the purpose still. Also regenerating the file to a bigger resolution will make the wrapping kuku somehow. Figure figure figure out why later.

ITCoW - In The Course of Work is a website I maintained at http://www.itcow.com and contains some technical and IT stuffs and writeups. Check it out. ITCoW 360, this site, is a sub site used to maintain all panoramas shots. Click on the images on each posts to launch the 360 panos.

Most of the 360 Pano are in DevalVR, although you can view them with just Quicktime installed, they will not be in fullscreen mode. Install the DevalVR plugin, it's just but a few seconds to download and install. Alternatively, there's at times, Flash version of the panos I release. FPP version of panos are Flash too, so if you have Flash installed already, you're all set.

Click on the respective icon to download the plugins.

Get DevalVR! Get Quicktime! Get Flash!
