Orientation Aware Camera

etegration | July 29, 2008 | 1:43 pm

http://www.ominoushum.com/oac/

See the above page for a video to see what Andrew has created. It features a live demo in his video too.

I started this project without really having any idea where it would end up. I started off by deciding it could be interesting to build a device that would sample a 3-axis magnetometer and a 3-axis accelerometer and send that data to my computer via USB. Devices very much like that are often sold as a ’tilt compensated compass’, and go for $250-500. I made mine for about $150.

etegration | July 27, 2008 | 3:58 pm

Above image - Gitzo.

Gitzo, a leader in tripods has a dedicated mini site for their 90th anniversary Titanium tripod that is numbered and there’s only 390 pieces.I just love the carrying case! It’s really a beauty that matches the limited edition tripod perfectly.

DevalVR | Flash

This is 7 Storey Hotel’s Deluxe Room configuration. This is also the last of 7 Storey Hotel’s Pano. It was great fun producing these panos. I hope it’ll bring smiles to the staff of NSS hotel when they’re presented to them on DVDs for keepsake.

Hellboy2 Pano

etegration | July 19, 2008 | 3:36 pm

Check it out. The 2nd pano for a movie. It’s so exciting how studios are using pano now. Maybe the Police force/ CSI can start using them too?

Pano2VR

etegration | July 18, 2008 | 3:00 pm

I’ve been using Pano2QTVR for sometime and recently, I made the purchase of Pano2VR too for a good upgrade price (45Euros since I already own Pano2QTVR Pro Flash). I created another page for the thumbnails that it can produce here. The thumbnails that Pano2QTVR can produce is still around and is here.

Upgrade or Purchase here. It’s a tool no panographer should live without.

Time of the year again where…

etegration | July 12, 2008 | 2:48 pm

Time of the year again when Singaporeans “try” to hang their flags out to show their love for the country with the National Day nearing. Singapore’s national day falls on 9 August each year. Remember please. Don’t hang it inverted or worse, upside down…

ITCoW - In The Course of Work is a website I maintained at http://www.itcow.com and contains some technical and IT stuffs and writeup. Check it out. ITCoW 360, this site, is a sub site used to maintain all panoramas shots.

Most of the 360 Pano are in DevalVR, although you can view them with just Quicktime installed, they will not be in fullscreen mode. Install the DevalVR plugin, it's just but a few seconds to download and install. Alternatively, there's at times, Flash version of the panos I release. Click on the respective icon to download the plugins.

Get DevalVR! Get Quicktime! Get Flash!
